We love upcycling!.......... an old ercol coffee table.

For those of you that follow us, you will know that we love all things up cycled! and if its not up cycling old fabric to create our personalised fabric party bags its furniture!

We recently found an old Ercol coffee table, worn and tired with coffee cup stains. A beautiful design, however it needed a little t.l.c.

So we decided to do this......

Ta dah! what do you think? We chose a Habitat paint in kingfisher which is suitable for walls, metal and wood, and a dulux primer.

We now have the "itch", chairs next we think!!!

Have a fab week.

Upcycled little things..............

Most of you that follow us will know that we don't like waste, and all the letters on our personalized party bags, aprons, shoppers and laundry bags are made from unwanted fabric and garments.

Sometimes we get bits and pieces that our too small for our letters, so we were wondering, what do we do with them.......

Ta dah!

Our funny bunny!

We're not quite sure if she is cute or a tad scary, but, we love her as she was our first, which made us start to think, what other little upcycled fellows can we make?

So each one of us in the tfpbc team is going to design a little upcycled fellow. Here is a sneak preview of Joanna's. Oliver, Olivia and Orla the owl will be visiting our store soon in limited runs. A more detailed post of how to make your very own will follow......

Oliver the owl, work in progress...

Have a good week x

The Friendly Party Bag Co's Upcycling our upcycled products!

On a recent trip to see my best friend and gorgeous god children, I was dragged up stairs to see what their party bags and birthday bunting were now being used for!

The personalized party bags were used for all sorts of things from 'T' for Teddies bears sleeping bag to a 'C' bag full of crayons. The personalized upcycled bunting may sound expensive at £50 but once you have used it for the party you can reverse it and hung in you little ones bedroom!

Check out all of our upcycled items from OUR SHOP.

The Friendly Party Bag Co 's ideas for up cycled flower decorations.

As you will know by now, we love a bit of up cycling! On one rainy afternoon I was editing the fridge and couldn't believe how many old jar of stuff were out of date! (disgraceful I know). So I emptied the jars, gave them a good wash and randomly started sticking flowers in them! Finished off with an old ribbon and you have got yourself a cute little flower arrangement that doesn't cost the earth. I've place them around the house, used them for an extra table decoration for a party (colour coordinated ribbon of cource), and even given them as a little gift. x

The Friendly Party Bag Co's Up cycled wrapping ideas.

You can not have a party without presents!

I have notice that when you stick wrapping paper into the recycling bins, the bin folk don't collect it! (the glossy coating must have something to do with it, need to research that!) What a waste, I love wrapping presents, I know slightly sad isn't it.  I have bags of ribbon that I have bought, saved and collected over the years, which I reuse time after time. When I give someone a present and they put the wrapping in the BIN (ekk!) I dive in afterwards to save it!

I wrap my gifts in brown parcel paper (defiantly recyclable!) with a silk bow, however always looking for new ideas, I found some fab ones on pinterest. Bring on the next birthday!
